Thailand are famous with its white elephant and silk fabric, but there are others that quite famous which is handmade product. Those product are often called as One product one Tambon, or could be translated as top original Thailand made product, which are handmade craft such as statue, painting, ceramic ware, etc., including foods, and other souvenirs.

Today I’d like to discuss about ceramic ware as one product one tambon. This handicraft you could see in Bangkok, in almost every section of the city. Some arts store and center such as Bang Sai Art and Craft Training Center also Chatucak Market is the examples of arts center in Thailand.

Nielloware, Earthenware, and Sculpture

Nielloware, This is where the mixture of lead, copper and silver is rubbed into the engraved silver. This craft was first introduced to the region of southern Thailand from India, and then spread to the North. Nielloware used to decorate trays, betel boxes, vases, and other small objects.
